Get To Know Wendy

All courses are designed by me; Wendy Christman. I am a Master Esthetician with over 22 years of experience, an owner of several previous esthetic practices, and the current owner of Saving Fae Skinspa Inc., and The Wendy Way- Skincare line.

I am an introverted person. I am not outgoing. I tend to be reserved (not shy) and don't put myself out there on social media.( I share why in my course). 

I have found MANY estheticians that wanted to go to school, and changes lives with their skincare knowledge and ability to give a great facial. Many didn't realize everything that comes with that. Any employer will want you to be outgoing, to drive sales, engage with your client. I had a hard time with this.... because, well.... I am not outgoing and bubbly. It is great when someone is like that, good for them. It was/ is not me and I want to share how to achieve the same level of success without needing to be someone you are not! (we just have to do things slightly different).

I know from personal experience that when we all graduate, take our board exam, get our licenses... we are so eager to get started. Without realizing that there is so much more to practicing esthetics than what is taught in our schools. Upon hiring estheticians I have found that not ONE recent graduate was actually prepared to work, well that is experienced estheticians as well. I have hired both: Estheticians fresh out of school and estheticians with previous industry experience. 

As a business owner, my experiences have taught me so many things. I actually preferred to have new estheticians that I could train to do things in my business; my way. I have very specific philosophies of how I want my business to run, clients treated, time utilized, and a unique perspective on sales. A brand new esthetician was more open to learning. Experienced estheticians... unfortunately had their own previous experiences, while they gave a wonderful service, they would cut corners, not perform services to my set standards, be very pushy with product sales, and in my opinion came with bad habits that were hard to break or in other words "unwilling to listen or learn another way". 

The purpose of my courses, are to help: New Estheticians that are just dipping their toes into the world of esthetics, and experienced Estheticians that are open to learning that they haven't been taught everything and that there is another way to get great results. I am sharing my extensive REAL WORLD - working knowledge of being an Esthetician, Business owner, and Employer.
